Regular use of these medications is very effective in eliminating the effects of acute sinusitis.<\/div>\n<div>For treating chronic sinusitis, the first preferred treatment method is medication therapy. However, preventing nasal polyps is not possible with medication alone. Medications can only help in the recovery phase following nasal obstruction surgery, but ultimately chronic sinusitis may reappear.
